A Foyer will give your guests the overall first impression of the theme you'd like your home to reflect. Foyers or entryways can range from large, grand spaces to petite, intimate areas. Whatever the case, the fist impression and theme evoked through your house is long to be established here. Many people treat their entry as a large closet, with every aspect of their daily function left out in the open with no organization. Chances are the impression created by this will be a disorganized household, which may or may not be true.

A foyer should be treated and designed as is any other public room in a house. A foyer can become a "jewel box' within a home. Design statements can be bolder or more whimsical due to the foyer being a transitional area, a room to get from point A to point B without spending a great deal of time in it. Therefore, it can be more dramatic that the other rooms in your home.
